can we reclaim political action? what would that mean now? does an activist Left still exist_? Not in the US> Are rallies and demonstrations still a viable option to effectively express one's discontent_? Is activism on the local level more effective than on a macro/(inter)national level? Does micro change lead to macro change? this may be the only method remaining (_?) activism through exposure. show the refugee. show. this is proven. how to reconcile a healthy mistrust of the government with a healthy support of programs aimed at relieving the burden of poverty? a recognition that not all governments are the same. a denial of an official program can be as ill-conceived as the support of its opposite. important to remember. a writing-off of a government program qua government program can be as morally off-center as the support of a conservative program proposing the opposite. what have we learned about the promotion of utopian agendas_? do utopias begin with changing one's immediate environment? doesn't seem to promote the vision of the world. promotion as a concept of the market. one must begin with a discussion with respect to the extent that we need governments. ( I think there is a field to play on, not facetious.) a realistic discussion. what are the foundations of happiness_? in what state-form would happiness have the largest field in(on?) which to thrive? a field promoting expression. where all have a possibility of expressing their deepest identities. what extent of "authority" would be needed for this? so that the field doesn't become smaller? so that we're not living on our own, separate fields? to stop acknowledging certain distinctions? seems dangerous.
